UV-DTF Care & Application Instructions
UV-DTF Label Care & Application Guide
Thank you for your custom UV-DTF label order from Rustic Bloom Designs! Please read this guide carefully before applying your labels to ensure the best results and longest wear.
Surface Prep Required
Proper surface preparation is the most important step for a successful application. Before applying your label, make sure the surface is:
- Clean — free from dust, dirt, and debris
- Dry — no moisture or condensation
- Oil-free — no lotion, fingerprints, or cleaning product residue
- Smooth — labels adhere best to flat, hard surfaces
Wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth or an alcohol wipe and allow it to fully dry before applying. Rustic Bloom Designs is not responsible for adhesion failure due to inadequate surface preparation.
Surface Compatibility
UV-DTF labels work best on:
- Plastic, acrylic, and metal
- Glass and smooth painted surfaces
- Hard, non-porous surfaces
Adhesion may vary or fail on textured, rubbery, flexible, curved, coated, or heavily handled surfaces. Rustic Bloom Designs is not responsible for adhesion issues on incompatible surfaces.
Application Instructions
- Prep and dry your surface thoroughly (see above).
- Peel the label carefully from the backing sheet.
- Position the label on the surface before pressing down.
- Press firmly from the center outward, smoothing out any air bubbles.
- Run your fingernail or a flat edge along all edges and corners to seal.
- Allow 24 hours before heavy use, cleaning, or chemical exposure.
Customer is responsible for application. Rustic Bloom Designs is not responsible for improper application, misalignment, or adhesion failure resulting from incorrect technique.
Cleaning Care Instructions
- Hand wash or wipe gently with a damp cloth only.
- Do not submerge, soak, or run through a dishwasher.
- Avoid abrasive scrubbers, steel wool, or rough cloths directly on the label.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, acetone, or solvent-based cleaners on or near the label.
- For medical/clinical equipment: wipe around the label when possible; avoid saturating the label with disinfectants.
Rustic Bloom Designs is not responsible for label damage resulting from improper cleaning methods.
Wait Time After Application
For best adhesion and durability, avoid the following for at least 24 hours after application:
- Heavy cleaning or scrubbing
- Soaking or submersion
- Chemical disinfectants applied directly to the label
Durability & Wear
UV-DTF labels are designed to be durable, but longevity depends on the surface, cleaning frequency, and handling. Labels on heavily used or frequently wiped equipment may show wear over time. This is normal and not a product defect.
Not a Medical-Grade Sterile Product
These labels are for identification and organization purposes only. They are not sterile, antimicrobial, or intended to alter the medical function, safety, or performance of any equipment.
Order Accuracy
Customer is responsible for providing accurate wording, sizing, quantity, and color preferences at time of order. Please double-check all spelling, numbers, unit names, and station numbers before submitting. Rustic Bloom Designs is not responsible for errors submitted by the customer.
